Interview

Is it hard to work as a Deputy Head?

Yes, it is. Being a Deputy Head is very complicated. There are a lot of responsibilities and you need to find a special approach to everyone. You should be able to understand and forgive.

How is your working day organized?

I usually come to work at half past seven or eight a.m. At eight o'clock I meet children and do thermometry if my colleagues are not able to do it. Then I look though some documentations, register the attendance of students, fill in different forms of the Department of Education and meet students and their parents. Sometimes I even forget to have lunch.

Why did you choose this profession?

I got this job by coincidence: when I came to school for an interview, I wanted to be a teacher of Russian at first, but then they offered me a job of a Deputy Head, probably because the Head liked my experience.

Have you ever worked as a teacher?

I have worked as a teacher of the Russian language and literature for 34 years. I graduated six classes and keep in touch with almost all the students.

What hobbies do you have?

We've built a house. I have a garden and grow roses. I have 400 bushes. This is my way to relax.

Can you compare the teacher's and Deputy Head's work?

The difficulty of working as a teacher consists in making the curriculum, responsibility for preparing students for exams, checking a large number of workbooks. No matter what it's creative work that implies interaction with children and their parents. As for working as a Deputy Head, you can apply the words from the book "The Little Prince" but with a caveat we are responsible for everyone: the city, the parents, the children. However, this work is great! When I was given the opportunity to conduct lessons I was happy to do this. Once in my life I had a situation when I had to work as a methodologist of the District Education Department. Being a teacher of Russian, I also had a great time.

What are your plans for the near future?

Defend the Fatherland, education, grow roses, spend more time with my family and love this life!

There are a lot of prominent people in our school. Today we decided to interview our Deputy Head Elena Nikolaevna Natalicheva

The Master and Margarita
I can't imagine my school life without reading. So, I want to talk about one book that made a great impression on me. This book is Bulgakov's "The Master and Margarita", which is included in the 11th grade program. This is the book that needs to be read several times. After the writer's death, his wife wrote the novel for more than 20 years. Keeping up to date, the Master and Margarita is a novel within a novel. The inner novel is the work of a talented writer who calls himself a Master. This novel is written, oddly enough, about Pontius Pilate and the moment of the execution of Jesus Christ.
In this work, the author examines such complex, controversial philosophical problems as immortality and the resurrection of the soul, the struggle of good and evil, as well as the theme of love is present in the novel. The novel "The Master and Margarita" is interesting to a person because it ridicules human vices and makes you think about your behavior and the behavior of others. Thanks to this work, everyone can learn an important life lesson for themselves.

The philosophical line in the novel is represented by Pilate and Yeshua, the love line is represented by the Master and Margarita. However, there is a separate storyline in the work, filled to the brim with mysticism and satire.

Let's talk about the characters of the book

I like Margarita, her determination, which she did not find immediately. I like the Master himself, although I often feel sorry for him. Woland won my heart, I fell in love with the antagonist for the first time. His retinue even evokes respect, and Yeshua himself is admired. Minor characters also amuse me.

The novel is still relevant today. The work is written in an ironic form, although it touches on the main problems of society. I highly recommend the work for reading!

My favourite quotes are the following:

"Well, the one who loves must share the fate of the one he loves."

"Yes, man is mortal, but that would be half the trouble. The bad thing is that he is sometimes suddenly mortal, that's the trick!"

"Who told you that there is no true, faithful, eternal love in the world? May the liar have his vile tongue cut off!"

"After all, how many times have I told you that your main mistake is that you underestimate the value of human eyes. Understand that the tongue can hide the truth, but the eyes - never!"

Tips

Hello! I'm Nadia from 11B. I have an important exam this year called «RNE». Sometimes it's difficult to start preparing for exams. So here are some tips for you. Hope they will be helpful.

1. You should learn about your exam. To begin with, search for the criteria. Then you will be able to think about priorities and time. Some tasks take a lot of time and give you a small amount of points. Decide, if it is important to begin with a difficult task first? To find out about the requirements, you can go to www.fipi.ru or search for explanations of teachers on the Internet. Today you can find many videos about the State Exam.

2. Test your skills. Try and get used to the idea of the exam. Remember your points for every demo exam and write them down to see the progress. It's important for the motivation. Moreover, you'll be able to check where you have problems.

3. Make the timeline. Use time management techniques (like «Pomodoro» or to-do lists). It's about planning days, weeks, even year. In the first half of the year you should learn all theory. In the second term you'll have to focus on exam tasks and practice.

4. Study. Think about themes which were in past papers. Use the codifier from www.fipi.ru. Which questions might be on the test? Start studying. Also, you can train with your classmates or friends using questions you've devised or found.

5. What about revising? There are so many ways to revise the materials. I know the flashcard methods. It's a good way to memorize details. You can make up stories, associations, pictures, acronyms, etc. Find the best options for you!

The exam is a very stressful thing, but it's possible to pass it well. You'll do it!

Thanksgiving Day — a feast of harvest and friendship

Students of the 2nd "B" and 3rd "A" grades learned the history of the American Thanksgiving Day holiday.

Continuing the study of the traditions of English-speaking countries, students of the 2nd "B" and 3rd "A" grades made a virtual trip to the shores of North America, in the distant 1621 AD. Exactly 400 years, as the children calculated themselves, have passed since the first Thanksgiving Day.

The students learned about the history of Thanksgiving, the adventures of English pilgrims in America and the generosity of the Indians. The children watched a cartoon in English, learned the song "The pumpkin ran away", learned about the main symbol of Thanksgiving – a turkey and the traditional dessert of the feast – a pumpkin pie.

The children willingly dressed up as Indians and played a scene in which Native Americans brought gifts to the pilgrims. Thanks to the interactive class on Thanksgiving, the children learned about the early years of the history of the United States, shared the ideas of friendship, mutual help and respect for traditions.
